Chromatinas
Chromatinas – medžiaga, esanti ląstelės branduolyje. Chromatino paskirtis – genetinės informacijos raiška ir genetinės medžiagos integracija. Jis sudarytas iš DNR, šiek tiek RNR ir baltymų. Įprastai chromatinas – dekondensuoto siūliško pavidalo, tačiau prieš ląstelės dalijimąsi kondensuojasi į chromosomas.
Chromatino tipai
1930 m. atlikus šviesinio mikroskopo tyrimus buvo išskirti du chromatino tipai:
- heterochromatinas - labai kondensuotas chromatinas
- euchromatinas - mažiau kondensuotas chromatinas
